When your Civil ID expires, you must update it to continue using our services. You can do this by visiting one of our branches or through our mobile app. Below is a guide to updating your expired Civil ID using the mobile app or in-branch.
Option 1: Update via Mobile App
If your Civil ID is expired, the mobile app will display a message: “Your Civil ID is expired. Please update it.” You won’t be able to use any features until the update is complete. Follow these steps:
- View the Message: Open the app and note the expiration message.
- Choose Update Option: Click the “Upload Civil ID” option in the message.
- Use Kuwait Mobile ID (Optional): If you have the Kuwait Mobile ID app installed, select it for instant processing. Accept the request sent to your Kuwait Mobile ID, return to our app, and click “Confirm.” Note: Verification may take time, and errors may occur. You can retry or proceed to manual upload.
- Manual Upload (Alternative): If you don’t use Kuwait Mobile ID or prefer manual upload, select the Civil ID upload option and upload a clear image of your Civil ID.
- Submit and Wait: After uploading (via Kuwait Mobile ID or manually), wait for verification. If you used Kuwait Mobile ID, it may be instant; manual uploads may take longer.
- Check Status: Try using a feature. If the expiration message persists, don’t repeat the process—just wait for our staff to verify and update your Civil ID.
Option 2: Update at a Branch
To update your expired Civil ID in person:
- Visit a Branch: Locate the nearest branch via our website or customer support.
- Bring Documents: Carry your expired Civil ID, a copy of the new Civil ID (if available), and any supporting documents.
- Submit to Staff: Inform the representative that you need to update your expired Civil ID. Provide the documents and complete any required forms.
- Await Verification: The branch will process your request, and you’ll be notified once your Civil ID is updated.
Important Notes
- Ensure uploaded Civil ID images are clear and legible.
- Kuwait Mobile ID may fail occasionally; retry or use manual upload.
- Verification times vary: Kuwait Mobile ID updates may be instant, while manual uploads or branch submissions may take a few business days.
- Contact support via the app, email, or phone if you encounter issues.
